The Rothbury Copper Pillar Light brings the charm of a traditional lantern to your gateposts and garden walls. Cast from solid H65 brass with a protective anti-rust and anti-oxidation finish, it has a warm copper tone and a satisfying weight, and it only grows more characterful as it weathers.

A clear tempered glass shade lets soft, even light spill out without glare, creating a cosy, romantic glow across terraces, courtyards and front gardens. Choose from three sizes, from 25 cm to 40 cm wide, to suit the scale of your pillar, fence post or wall. It suits period cottages and modern homes looking for a classic touch. Fit one on each gatepost for a symmetrical entrance, or use a single lantern to crown a garden wall. The copper finish sits beautifully against natural stone, brick and painted render.

The solar version is a two-in-one light: it charges by day and lights up at night with its own LED, and can later be hardwired by fitting an E27 bulb and connecting the supply. The hardwired version runs from the mains with an E27 bulb, not included. A remote control lets you switch colour modes on the solar model, and an IP54 rating handles everyday outdoor weather. Hardwired fittings should be installed by a qualified electrician.
