The Marlowe uses a high clarity glass globe rather than an opaque shade, which changes how the fitting behaves when it is switched on. Light passes through the glass instead of being trapped inside it, so a single E27 bulb lights a room evenly rather than casting one bright pool directly underneath. The clear finish also keeps the fixture visually light, so it can hang low over a table without closing in the space.

At 20cm across, the globe is sized to read as a deliberate fitting over an island or dining table without dominating the sightline across a room. The cord length is adjustable at installation, so the globe can be dropped low over a counter or set higher in a bedroom where headroom matters. Metal fittings carry the weight of the glass at the ceiling rose.

Construction is metal and glass throughout, with no plastic shade components that yellow with heat over time. The bulb is included and the fitting takes a standard E26 or E27 base, so replacements are available anywhere. Rated IP20 for indoor use, it suits rooms between 3 and 8 square metres, and multiple units can be hung in a row above a longer table or counter.
