The Thirsk Black Pillar Light is a classic lantern designed for gateposts, fence posts and garden pillars. Its black aluminium frame and clear glass panels have a traditional, timeless shape that suits period homes and modern exteriors alike, giving the entrance to your property a smart, finished look by day and a warm, welcoming glow after dark.

Choose the version that suits your setup. The solar model has a built-in LED and panel, so it needs no wiring at all: it charges during the day, switches on at dusk and runs for up to twelve hours, with three colour temperatures from warm 3000K to crisp 6000K. The hardwired model takes a standard E27 bulb of your choice and connects to your mains supply for consistent, reliable light every night of the year.

Rust-resistant aluminium and an IP65 rating mean the Thirsk shrugs off rain, snow and temperature swings, keeping its shape and finish season after season. Wipe it with a dry cloth to keep the glass clear, and switch off the power first on the hardwired version. The hardwired model should be fitted by a qualified electrician. Use a pair to frame a driveway or line a path with several for a timeless, cohesive look.
