The Hollowell Pumpkin Light does the job a carved pumpkin cannot: it holds its shape, it survives the rain and it lights up again the next night. The body is cast in translucent yellow resin with the ribbed contours of a real gourd, so the integrated warm white LED reads as candlelight through the shell rather than as a flat electric glow. Set it on a doorstep, a porch table, a hearth or a windowsill.

Power is entirely self-contained. A 2600 mAh battery charges over USB and drives the 3W LED for eight to ten hours, which covers a full evening of trick-or-treaters with no cable trailing across the path and no socket to find. Placement is free: down a garden path, along a gravel drive, either side of a gate or in among the plant pots. A push button on the base switches it on and off.

An IP65 rating means the lamp shrugs off rain and damp autumn air, so it can stay outside for the season instead of being carried in each night. Three diameters are offered, 18 cm, 35 cm and 42 cm, and they group well together: one large pumpkin flanked by two small ones reads far better than three of the same size. Charge it indoors, keep the port cover closed outdoors, and store it somewhere dry once the season ends.
