The Lacock wall light is a neat black cube that sends light both up and down the wall, with one clever extra: adjustable shutters that let you change the width of the beam. Open them for a broad, bright wash that lights a doorway and the ground around it, or close them down for tight, focused lines of light that stretch further up and down the facade.

Two 3 W LEDs give 420 lumens of warm white 3000K light with good colour rendering, so brickwork, render and planting look natural after dark. The body is aluminium alloy with a glass lens, sealed to IP65 so it is fully protected against dust and rain. Two sizes are available, a compact 10 cm cube and a slightly larger 12 cm version, to suit anything from a narrow porch to a broad courtyard wall.

Use a pair to frame a front door, run several along a courtyard or side return to create a rhythm of light, or fix one beside a gate to help visitors find the way. The integrated LEDs need no bulb changes, and a wipe with a dry cloth with the power off keeps the glass clear. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
