The Corfe bulkhead light takes the sturdy fittings once found in engine rooms and old warehouses and gives them a softer, more considered finish. Choose a cement grey body for a rugged, rustic look or gold for something lighter and more decorative, then pick a classic round or a modern oval profile to suit the wall. Each lamp body is die-cast in a single piece, so there are no seams for rain or dust to find their way into.

A clear glass shade spreads the warm white 3000K light evenly across the wall and doorway below, with no harsh glare. The fitting takes a standard E27 LED bulb, which is included and simple to replace years from now. With an IP65 rating it is fully dust-tight and protected against splashing water, so it copes with porches and exposed garden walls as well as steamy kitchens, balconies and bathrooms.

The textured finish resists rust and wear, keeping its industrial character season after season with nothing more than an occasional wipe with a dry cloth once the power is off. Hang a matching pair either side of a front door, run a line of them along a garden wall, or use a single light over a back step. Installation should be carried out by a qualified electrician.
