The Heddon rattan solar lantern brings a relaxed, rustic look to garden evenings. A hand-woven rattan-effect shell in warm brown lets the light filter out through the weave, scattering soft patterns across tables and walls, while a jute rope handle adds a natural, beach-house feel. It is a simple way to bring a holiday feel to a patio, balcony or summer house.

The weave is made from weather-resistant PVC, so it looks like natural rattan but stands up to life outdoors, and the whole lantern is rated IP65 against rain and dust. The solar panel charges a large 6000mAh battery in four to six hours of sun, and the 3W LED then gives four to six hours of 3000K warm white light with no plug or cable needed. The light covers roughly 5 to 10 square metres, enough to light a small seating area.

Hang it from a branch or pergola hook, set it in the middle of the dining table, or carry it along on camping trips and picnics. The small size suits tables and window ledges, while the large size makes a real feature by a door, bench or seating area. It is lightweight enough to move around as the evening goes on. Wipe clean with a dry cloth and keep it where it catches direct sun through the day.
