The Craster solar floor lantern pairs a fresh white body with a warm wood grain finish, giving a relaxed, contemporary look that works as well on a patio as it does beside the sofa. A soft 3000K warm white light glows through the lantern, making it ideal for setting a calm mood on long evenings outdoors. The clean lines suit modern gardens as well as more relaxed, coastal-style patios.

The built-in solar panel charges fully in four to five hours of sun, and the 2000mAh battery then gives six to eight hours of light, so there is no cable or plug to find. It is rated IP65, which means a sudden shower will not trouble it, and the top handle makes it easy to carry, move or hang wherever you need light. It uses 2W and gives around 140 lumens, enough for gentle ambient light around a seating area.

Choose the smaller size for tabletops and steps, or the larger size to stand on the floor by a door, bench or garden path. Take it camping, set it on the picnic table, or use it to light the way on a night-time stroll around the garden. To clean, switch off and wipe with a dry cloth. Keep it where it catches direct sun during the day for the best charge.
