The Warkworth porch wall light has a clean curved arm that reaches out from the wall and throws a soft pool of warm white light downwards, lighting the ground where you actually walk. The black aluminium body is sturdy, sheds heat quickly and resists rust, and an acrylic diffuser softens the LED so the light is even rather than glaring. Its simple, low-profile arm keeps the look tidy on brick, render or timber cladding.

Choose the 18W version for a front door or side passage, or the 24W version where you need a little more reach, such as a garage front or driveway. Both are available with or without a built-in motion sensor. The sensor version switches on as someone approaches, which is handy for security and saves energy on quiet nights. The light covers roughly 8 to 12 square metres, enough for most doorsteps and drives.

With an IP65 rating the Warkworth can stay outside all year and needs little more than an occasional wipe. It suits porches, side yards, garages, balconies and back doors, and the plain industrial shape sits comfortably on both modern and traditional homes. Hardwired fittings should be installed by a qualified electrician. Use a pair either side of a garage door for balanced coverage.
