The Yoxford door stop keeps doors exactly where you want them. Draughts, uneven floors and a gust through an open window can all send a door swinging shut, or bang it against the wall behind. This compact wedge slides under the door to hold it steady, keeping rooms open and airy, stopping slams and protecting walls and furniture from knocks, especially on breezy summer days.

It is made from solid natural wood with a smooth finish in dark oak or walnut oak, topped with a slim metal plate that adds a smart, understated detail. A non-slip base grips the floor so the wedge stays put on wood, tiles, laminate and carpet alike. The low-profile shape fits under most interior doors and needs no fixing, screws or installation of any kind.

Two sizes are available: a compact 11 cm wedge for doors with a small gap underneath, and a longer 16 cm wedge for heavier doors or larger gaps. Use one in the hallway, living room, bedroom or home office, and slip it into a drawer when not needed. It wipes clean with a damp cloth, and the warm wood tones look good left on show.
