The Southwold drain pad gives washed dishes a proper place to dry and keeps drips off your worktop. Its surface is shaped with raised ridges and channels that lift plates, cups and utensils clear of standing water and guide it away, so everything dries faster and the counter underneath stays clean. It is a neat alternative to a bulky dish rack, especially in smaller kitchens.

Made from flexible silicone, the pad is heat resistant, so it doubles as a surface for resting hot pans and trays. It rolls or folds for storage and wipes clean in seconds, and it can be washed with the rest of the dishes when needed. Two sizes are available: 40 × 33 cm for a small counter or beside the sink, and 50 × 43 cm for larger loads after a family meal.

Choose black, grey, white or blue to suit your kitchen. Place it beside the sink for everyday washing up, under a coffee machine or kettle to catch drips, or by the back door as a tray for wet shoes and garden tools. To keep it fresh, rinse the pad regularly and let it dry fully between uses, which also helps prevent any musty smells.
