The Cartmel Bamboo Chopping Board turns a corner of the worktop into a complete prep station. The solid bamboo surface gives you a generous 40 by 26 cm space for chopping, while four covered trays slide out beneath it to hold sliced vegetables, grated cheese or herbs until you are ready to cook. Everything stays together, so there are fewer bowls to wash afterwards and less mess to clear before dinner.

Four interchangeable blades clip into place for slicing, grating, peeling and fine shredding, letting you move from salad to stir-fry without hunting for separate tools. A juice groove around the edge catches liquid from tomatoes, fruit and roasted meats, keeping the counter clean. Bamboo is a naturally hard-wearing, renewable material, and its warm grain looks good enough to leave out on display between meals.

Wipe the board with warm soapy water, dry it straight away and oil it occasionally to keep the bamboo in good condition; avoid soaking or the dishwasher. The blades are very sharp, so handle them by the frame, store them in the trays when not in use and keep them out of reach of children.
